Using His Own Child Telescope Will Introduce Your Child To Astronomy

A relatively inexpensive child telescope could show the universe in a whole new way. There is a big interest in science today and the lack thereof in our youth. Yet with a little interest by parents in the science of astronomy children could be shown some of the wonders of space.

There are a few things that you need prior to getting a child telescope and your beginning endeavors into astronomy. Astronomy need not be a confusing and difficult process to understand, while it may take a little studying, the use of a child telescope could help you begin to get your child interested in something that can help them develope new skills and new attitudes.

Your first child telescope need not be overly expensive nor should it be too cheap to be perceived as another toy in some children’s collection. A child telescope can be as expensive or inexpensive as one is willing to pay, yet if you are willing to put a little time into researching telescopes you can determine what model would be best for you and your child.

Once you have selected a telescope, spend a little time understanding how to use it. Then the time spent with your child explaining all about actual details of your child’s new telescope to them will be a valuable introduction to the stars.

To beginning astronomy you may think that you need to be part scientist to understand the difference in telescopes and that your child telescope should wow and amaze your child; but the truth is that developing an interest is key and that there are plenty of sites out there that will help you understand what you should look for in a child telescope.

Start small and develop the interest, the patience and knowledge that studying stars, planets and the universe needs. So if apertures, lens, mirrors, or reflectors confuse you it may be better to start small, make sure that your child telescope catches his or her imagination and interest then proceed into bigger things. The worst thing that many parents experience in buying their children things is the lack of interest that comes after a few months or weeks of starting a new hobby. Yet you could extend that interest by making short term goals and helping them gain more interest in the hobby through your own interest.

Who knows, beginning with a child telescope could bring you closer and develop the interest in science and the universe, which is a long way from video games, television and other distractions in our lives.

The History and Achievements of the Hubble Telescope

Tip! 1994–the telescope took pictures of a comet collision, and detailed photos of Pluto, as well as giving us a greater knowledge of Neptune and Uranus.

The Hubble Telescope is famous worldwide for
its amazing images of the universe. Congress
in 1977 voted to fund a project to construct the
Hubble. Completion of the telescope was in 1985.
The Hubble was supposed to be launched a year
later but was delayed because of the 1986 Space
Shuttle Challenger disaster.

The Hubble Space Telescope was launched on April
25th, 1990 on the space shuttle. The giant telescope
Hubble sent back pictures from space that were out
of focus. The giant mirror had a major flaw. It was
too flat on one edge 1/50th of the width of a single
human hair.

Tip! Though curiosity may tempt you, never point your telescope near or at the sun. You can instantly cause irreversible eye damage.

The Space Shuttle Endeavor in December 1993
captured and corrected the Hubble by adding to
the telescope a camera to correct problems with
the Hubbles mirror. In February 1997 astronauts
exchanged some of its instruments and added
new blankets to keep Hubble warm. NASA decided
on Oct. 1997 to extend its operations from 2005
to 2010.

Hubble’s mission in space is to explore the solar
system, and measure the age and size of the
universe. Hubble’s giant telescope searches for our
cosmic roots, and charts the evolution of the universe.
It also trys to unlock the mysteries of stars, planets,
galaxies, and life itself.

Achievements of the Hubble

NASA releases Orion Nebula images from the Hubble
in June 1994 that confirms the births of planets around
newborn stars in space.

In Nov. 1995 telescope images released by NASA of the
“Eagle Nebula” showing where stars are born.

NASA releases the “Deep Field” images in Jan. 1996
in which Hubble looks back in time more than 10 billion
years. Revealing at least 1,500 galaxies at various stages
of development.

New images of “Ant Nebula” in Feb. 2001.

Tip! Interesting facts about Hubble Space Telescope is there is no question that the Hubble Telescope gave us amazing pictures and views of very early distant galaxies. But because the universe is expanding, the light from the most distant space galaxies is shifted to infrared wavelengths.

A Meade Telescope Offer Unbeatable Performance At Best Prices

Often, the first name that pops into a user0s mind is that of Meade telescopes and the reason behind this is that Meade is well known for selling quality telescopes at reasonable prices, and is especially suited for the home astronomer.
Before selecting a Meade telescope, you should consider the intended application and for the beginner or amateur telescope user, one may opt for a Meade telescope to see the many astronomical objects with the help of either refracting or mirror lens telescopes.
The reflecting Meade telescopes are more suited for those who are interested in astronomy as these have larger apertures and provide good value for money. In any case, the Meade telescope is easy to set up and is a sturdy instrument that one can use and enjoy for years to come and grow with, while learning more about the night skies in one0s area.
A World Leader in Design of Telescopes for Amateur Astronomers

Meade telescopes are instruments that are made by Meade, which was founded in 1972 and is a world leader when it comes to the design as well as manufacture of telescopes and accessories for amateur astronomers.
The products that this company sells are innovative as well as incorporate […]
